Founding Cover360ixty with Multi-Platinum Producer Turbo
In December 2017, three visionary individuals—Producer Turbo (aka Run Dat Back Turbo), Bryce Harris Creative Artist and Technology Investor (brother of superstar rapper and entrepreneur T.I.), and technology mogul Jeremy Newkirk—joined forces to create a groundbreaking concept known as Cover360ixty. Their mission: to build a supportive ecosystem for creative entrepreneurs by leveraging their networks, resources, and personal connections.
Bryce and Jeremy had met earlier that year and quickly realized their shared passion for supporting entrepreneurial creativity. Bryce, being close friends with Turbo, saw the potential in adding him to their business circle. They were acutely aware of the challenges faced by creative entrepreneurs: getting heard, securing resources, and covering the substantial costs of starting projects. These hurdles often led to exploitation by those who had access to resources but not the willingness to share them.
Recognizing this, Bryce and Jeremy, along with the insight of Turbo committed to creating a network that would empower creative entrepreneurs to overcome these barriers. Thus, Cover360ixty was born—a circle of business value and personal connections designed to elevate and support innovators.
On December 24, 2017, the trio organized an event called "Plugin with Turbo and Bryce," aimed at giving back to the creative community during the Christmas holidays. The response was overwhelming, with over 10,000 submissions. Due to the high demand, they moved the event to Bowie State University, change the name to The Improvement Tour and invited celebrity Angela Yee to host, alongside rapper and entrepreneur T.I.
The event featured a network of other local celebrities like Trey Chaney from HBO the Wire and DJ Quick Silver from 95.5 FM, college professors, and the college president, who taught classes on creative entrepreneurship in arts, business strategy, marketing, TV, and music production technology. The success of the event garnered significant media attention, placing the founders on Fox News, ABC News, and other networks.
Following the event, Turbo continued to make his mark in the music industry, becoming a platinum-charting producer with major Billboard successes alongside artists like Lil Baby and Gunna. Meanwhile, Jeremy and Bryce focused on building and establishing the Cover360ixty platform into an award-winning success.
They formed partnerships with top universities, including NYU and Bowie State, and collaborated with major government officials like Mayor Ras Baraka of Newark, New Jersey, and nonprofits such as Community Capacity Development (NYC) and Watts Empowerment Center (LA).
Cover360ixty reached new heights with the creation of their flagship TV show, "$ix Figure Makeover," which was honored at the 64th Grammy Awards. The show features a star-studded lineup of mogul investors like LaVar Ball, T.I., and Chelsea Grayson, and is hosted by the renowned Vanessa Simmons.
Cover360ixty's vision extends beyond just a docu-series; it aims to democratize access to resources and opportunities for entrepreneurs, fostering a thriving ecosystem of innovation and growth. The platform continues to support aspiring entrepreneurs by providing mentorship, investment, and a robust community for collaboration.
Since its creation, Cover360ixty has significantly increased the value offered to its members, positioning itself as a leader in entrepreneurial support and innovation. The journey of Turbo, Bryce, and Jeremy exemplifies the power of collaboration and the impact of a shared vision dedicated to empowering the next generation of creative entrepreneurs.
